The Ensign or Ensign Selfix is a film folding camera, 6x9 and 6x6 format, introduced after WWII by Ensign Ltd. in England. It was the first "new" camera design after the war. It has front cell focussing, a good lens and a good shutter. The Special has an uncoupled rangefinder and standard flash connection. Ensign Selfix was a long-running range of folding camera made by Houghton-Butcher and their successors. The camera shoots roll film and can shoot 6x9 or 6x6 depending on some panels which fold in place when loading the film. Once selected it cannot be altered for the entire roll.
